JOB DESCRIPTION

The maintenance representative reports directly to the gym manager and will aim to maintain the facility to ensure a clean and safe environment for everyone who is part of HCOA Fitness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Keep the trash cans clean, empty and bagged.
  • Sweep and map the gym including the group exercise rooms, cycling, yoga and children's waiting room.
  • Clean entrance and office windows.
  • Clean desks and reception
  • Keep bathrooms and locker rooms clean and tidy.
  • Clean and disinfect strength and cardio machines, weight racks, and cycling bikes, restrooms, and common areas.
  • Maintain an environment of motivation, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude. Treat other employees and partners with respect and courtesy at all times.
  • Assist with special events.
REQUIREMENTS

  • It must hold a high standard of what constitutes a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Strong customer service, organization, communication, and multitasking capabilities.
  • Previous experience in maintaining the preferred health club
  • You must be available to work overtime.
  • You must have reliable means of transportation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Duties may include physical exertion, including the ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, bend, squat, reach, or stand for long periods of time.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Duties include exposure to cleaning products and grease/oils from cardiovascular equipment.
