JOB DESCRIPTION

The position of Assistant Fitness Director (AFD) is responsible for assisting the Fitness Director in personal training sales and maintaining the quality of the training services provided to members.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Sales

  • Achieve the personal training sales goal consistently.
  • Responsible for overseeing partners' personal training scheduling, enforcing attendance, punctuality, and company policies.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador demonstrating a passion for physical exercise through regular use of the club.
  • Maintain and reinforce professional standards, such as having a positive attitude, dressing in uniform, arriving at work on time, and respecting teammates.
Personal Training Service

  • Monitor the quality of personal training sessions given by coaches to members.
  • Obtain feedback from personal training clients and take corrective action as necessary to provide extraordinary service.
Facility maintenance

  • Daily inspections of club facilities and equipment to ensure impeccable cleanliness, equipment is in good condition, and material inventory is adequate.
  • Demonstrate through personal performance a level of commitment to the constant maintenance of the facility.
REQUIREMENTS

  • The candidate must possess a high school diploma/GED and 1 year of sales experience (required).
  • Nationally recognized personal training certification (ACE, ACSM, ISSA, NASM as examples).
  • Must have CPR, first aid, and DRD certification (must be obtained within 60 days of rental).
  • Must be able to adequately demonstrate and execute the physical demands of the job including, but not limited to, repetitive motions, such as tidying up weights (40 lbs.) to keep the floor clean; the regular use of cleaning equipment and physical activity related to maintaining the clean facility.
  • High degree of initiative and motivation; Dynamic person who can work independently in a team.
  • Strong work ethic, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Flexible hours – may include weekends and/or evenings.
  • Excellent customer service and communication.
